This comparison asks a narrower and more useful question: which systems offer the strongest combination of documented performance, flexibility, build quality, and value?
At their core, vibroacoustic devices are specialized audio systems designed to produce tactile sound: vibration transmitted through a bed, chair, or platform and felt through the body. Tactile transducers convert an audio signal into mechanical motion, allowing low-frequency content to be experienced physically as well as, in many systems, through headphones or speakers. Research on vibroacoustic stimulation as a modality has explored outcomes including relaxation and pain, but those studies do not establish the effectiveness of any specific commercial device.
As with conventional audio equipment, vibroacoustic systems can differ substantially in bandwidth, available headroom, distortion, mechanical coupling, and control. A transducer's specifications alone do not determine the experience, but the complete signal chain and physical construction set meaningful limits on what the system can reproduce.

Living Earth Crafts' Mind-Sync 2.0 is the most expensive system here and is designed primarily around an unattended spa workflow, but it publishes relatively little technical detail. The inHarmony Sound Lounge 3 is a strong mid-tier alternative from an established brand. Sage Space is the lowest-priced generally available system here, with a narrower published transducer range. Bioharmonic sits closer to Zenthesia in price but discloses fewer transducer specifications. The original OPUS company is no longer operating; its SoundBed assets are now owned by Superconductor Labs.

Update: August 2026
Opus Immersive Inc. is no longer in business, and its successor is now shipping. After years of documented fulfillment failures, Opus Immersive underwent foreclosure on May 18, 2026. Its assets were acquired by Superconductor Labs, a former lender, which began fulfilling orders the week of June 12, 2026 through an invitation system that works through the original Opus order list oldest-first. The relaunched SoundBed is $2,699 including headphones and shipping, cards are charged only when a bed ships, and the company reports over 500 orders fulfilled since June. Cash refunds are not available to customers who paid Opus for beds that never arrived; they are offered dollar-for-dollar credit toward a new bed instead, and Superconductor Labs is supporting and updating the Opus Connect app for existing owners.
We have kept the OPUS SoundBed in this comparison for reference. Thousands of units exist in the wild, and its story illustrates something this guide has argued from the beginning: the company behind a vibroacoustic device is part of the spec sheet. The OPUS sections below describe the product as it was sold, with notes where the transition changes the picture.
Why These Technical Specifications Matter
When evaluating vibroacoustic devices, technical specifications help define what the hardware can reproduce. Available amplifier power influences headroom and achievable vibration level; frequency response defines the signal range the system is designed to pass; transducer design affects output, resonance, and fidelity; and the bed's mechanical construction influences how that vibration is coupled to the user. Build quality and serviceability also matter for equipment intended for repeated professional use.
Published documentation varies considerably across manufacturers. Some companies specify continuous (RMS) power while others publish peak or unqualified wattage figures; some provide detailed frequency-response data while others do not. The comparisons below distinguish manufacturer-published specifications from estimates and inferences wherever possible.

Transparency: How to Vet a Sound Bed Company's Claims
Before you compare specifications, it is worth comparing something more fundamental: how honestly each company represents what the research shows and what their product actually is.
A note on the research, including ours:
The clinical studies cited across this industry, including on our own site, tested vibroacoustic therapy as a modality. They used research-specific or unnamed equipment. No commercial sound bed in this comparison, including our own Sound Therapy Bed 2, was the device used in those trials.
That distinction matters. The research tells you what low frequency sound and vibration can do for the body. It does not certify any specific product. When marketing blurs that line, it puts trust in the entire field at risk, and this field deserves better.
What a manufacturer can honestly claim is how faithfully their hardware delivers the frequencies the research used. That is where engineering, transducer quality, and transparency become the real comparison, and it is why the tables below focus on what each system can verifiably reproduce.
With that in mind, here are seven questions to ask before you trust any claim in this industry, ours included.
1. Are the specs consistent across the company's own pages?
If amplifier wattage, frequency range, or other core specifications change from one page to another, it becomes difficult to know which figure is authoritative. Consistency is one of the simplest documentation checks available to a buyer.
2. Is the cited research about the modality or the machine?
Check whether a study actually tested the product being sold. If it tested vibroacoustic therapy generally, the honest framing is "research on this modality suggests," not "our bed is proven to."
3. Is there a named human behind the content?
For articles making health or technical claims, look for a named author, relevant experience or credentials, and a clear way to understand who is responsible for the content.
4. Do they publish continuous RMS wattage or peak figures?
Peak or maximum ratings and continuous ratings are not directly interchangeable. A "max" rating describes the highest instantaneous output a component can reach for a fraction of a second, not the power level a system sustains through a session, and continuous RMS output is often around half the peak figure. For meaningful comparisons, look for wattage clearly identified as continuous/RMS along with the load impedance, and treat unqualified figures as non-comparable until the rating method is clarified. Watch also for a qualifier that appears on the spec sheet but not in the marketing: Sage Space's product page labels its transducers "100W Max," yet their own articles repeatedly describe the same hardware as simply "four 100W transducers" and a "300W amplifier" with no qualification, while the continuous handling is 50W per transducer. The tables below flag each of these cases.
5. Are comparison tables dated and sourced?
Competitor specs change. An undated table lets a company quietly benefit from stale or incorrect information about everyone else. Look for a date and a note on where the data came from.
6. Do the claims stay within what the evidence supports?
Claims about relaxation or other wellness outcomes should be framed according to the quality and scope of the evidence. Disease-treatment or medication-reduction claims require a substantially higher evidentiary standard, and the FTC requires health claims to be substantiated by competent and reliable scientific evidence, so overreach in this category carries regulatory risk as well as ethical risk. We apply the same distinction to our own content and do not present research on vibroacoustic therapy as proof that our specific bed has been clinically validated. I make my best effort to play by these rules even when it makes my marketing less flattering, and if that costs a sale to a company willing to promise more, that is a trade I accept.
7. Do the product visuals show the real product?
Rendered diagrams and generated imagery can be useful, but they should not be treated as evidence of internal construction. I have personally verified mismatches between marketing visuals and actual construction for some of the products on this list. If a material, layer, or component is important to your purchase decision, ask the manufacturer to identify it in product documentation or real product photography before you spend money on a feature that may not exist.

Design & Build Comparison Analysis:
The systems take different approaches to user positioning. Zenthesia and OPUS use flat surfaces that can be adapted with pillows, bolsters, or supports, which may make positioning and contact easier to standardize across different body types. inHarmony, Bioharmonic Technologies, and Sage Space use fixed curved surfaces that prioritize a particular reclined posture. Living Earth Crafts takes that approach furthest with an electrically adjustable zero-gravity recliner; its unattended operation is well suited to spa settings, while its fixed contour and 68-inch reclined length offer less positioning flexibility than a flat treatment surface.
Construction also varies substantially. Zenthesia and inHarmony use wood frames, while Bioharmonic Technologies and Sage Space use metal stands; OPUS uses a fiberglass/plastic structure. Most systems use nonporous upholstery that can be wiped between users. OPUS uses a knitted fabric surface, which may be less convenient for rapid cleaning in a multi-client setting. Only Zenthesia and inHarmony publish weight-capacity ratings in the materials reviewed here (450 and 750 pounds, respectively). Material labels alone do not establish vibration performance; damping, resilience, structural stiffness, mounting, and coupling matter more than whether a surface material sounds premium. Portability depends on both weight and form factor. inHarmony is the lightest listed system at about 40 pounds, although it separates into two sections. OPUS rolls for storage but weighs roughly 99 pounds, making it one of the heaviest systems here despite its compact 72-by-24-inch footprint. Zenthesia weighs about 73 pounds and folds with removable legs. Buyers who move equipment regularly should consider packed dimensions, number of pieces, and setup requirements alongside total weight.

Main Amplifier Comparison Analysis:
Zenthesia uses a Crown XLS 1502 professional power amplifier with published power, distortion, noise, and frequency-response specifications. In the configuration used here it provides 600 W RMS total (300 W × 2 at 8 Ω), the highest published continuous amplifier output in this comparison. Crown specifies 20 Hz to 20 kHz (+0/−1 dB); independent bench testing by Audio Science Review measured output about 1.5 dB down at 10 Hz, indicating that signal below the nominal 20 Hz rating is attenuated rather than abruptly filtered. The included WiiM Mini provides parametric EQ that can compensate for some low-frequency rolloff within available system headroom, while the Crown's adjustable digital crossover allows the tactile bandwidth to be configured for different content.
The other systems disclose varying amounts of amplifier information. inHarmony states 200 W at 4 Ω and uses a fixed 200 Hz low-pass filter, but does not publish THD or SNR figures in the materials reviewed. Bioharmonic Technologies uses an OSD SMP300 subwoofer amplifier rated at 250 W at 4 Ω, with a published 20 Hz to 160 Hz response and an adjustable crossover; its setup documentation recommends specific gain and volume positions, so the intended operating output cannot be inferred from the amplifier's maximum rating alone. Sage Space publishes a 300 W figure without identifying whether it is continuous or peak or specifying the corresponding impedance. OPUS documents 100 W total across five channels. The main distinction in this section is documentation. Of the amplifier systems reviewed, the Crown and OSD units provide the clearest published frequency-response data, while several custom amplifiers disclose little beyond headline power figures. Zenthesia is the only system here that combines a named professional amplifier, a published continuous output rating, detailed electrical specifications, and a user-adjustable digital crossover.

Tactile Transducer Comparison Analysis:
The tactile transducers are a central part of what the user feels. Zenthesia's SA2-HFT150 transducers are manufactured in Sheffield, England and use a reactive-suspension design. The competitors for which suspension type could be identified use conventional mechanical suspension; Living Earth Crafts does not disclose its transducer construction in the materials reviewed. Suspension topology alone does not establish system performance, but it is one meaningful part of transducer design.
Published bandwidth varies widely. Zenthesia's SA2-HFT150 is manufacturer-rated from 10 Hz to 1000 Hz, the widest published transducer range in this comparison. inHarmony publishes 20 Hz to 200 Hz. Sage Space lists 20 Hz to 80 Hz, the narrowest published range among the systems that disclose one. Bioharmonic Technologies does not publish a transducer range, although its setup documentation recommends a 110 Hz low-pass setting. OPUS and Living Earth Crafts also do not publish a transducer frequency response in the materials reviewed; Living Earth Crafts uses the broader phrase "full spectrum." I have also tried the Mind-Sync at a conference and found its vibration comparatively gentle at the maximum user setting, but that observation is subjective and is not a substitute for measured output data.
Power handling provides another point of comparison, but it should not be read in isolation. Zenthesia's four transducers are rated at 150 W continuous each and are paired with 600 W of total amplifier output. inHarmony publishes 50 W per transducer. Sage Space lists 100 W maximum for each transducer, with 50 W continuous handling. OPUS documents 100 W of total amplifier output across five channels, or about 20 W available per channel, while the transducers' own continuous handling is not clearly published. Greater amplifier headroom and transducer power handling can support higher vibration levels, but perceived intensity and transmission also depend on frequency, displacement, mounting, coupling, damping, and the structure being driven. Component disclosure is ultimately the clearest difference. Sage Space appears to use a BST-1-style bass-shaker design with substantially lower published power handling and bandwidth than Zenthesia's SA2-HFT150. Bioharmonic Technologies does not publish enough transducer detail to make a similarly direct comparison. Buyers should distinguish between documented limitations and specifications that are simply unavailable; the latter are unknown rather than automatically poor.

Headphone Amplifier Comparison Analysis:
Vibroacoustic systems combine tactile and audible playback, so headphone amplification can matter when headphones are part of the experience. Zenthesia includes the JDS Labs Atom AMP 2, a separately specified headphone amplifier with published THD below 0.01%, SNR of 124 dB, frequency response within ±0.01 dB across the audible band, and up to 2.65 W at 32 Ω.
Bioharmonic Technologies also includes a dedicated headphone amplifier, the Douk Audio T4 tube-hybrid unit, with published 0.2% THD and ±3 dB frequency tolerance. inHarmony, Sage Space, OPUS, and Living Earth Crafts do not publish comparable headphone-output specifications in the materials reviewed. For buyers who care about independently documented headphone performance, Zenthesia and Bioharmonic are the easiest systems here to evaluate because they identify dedicated headphone-amplifier hardware and publish specifications for it.

Zenthesia includes the Sennheiser HD 280 PRO, a closed-back studio headphone with a published 8 Hz to 25 kHz response and approximately 32 dB of passive attenuation. Its relatively neutral tuning is intended for monitoring rather than exaggerated bass or treble.
inHarmony sells its headphones separately for $123. Bioharmonic Technologies includes the V-Moda Crossfade 2, a consumer/DJ-oriented headphone with a more V-shaped tuning than a neutral studio monitor. Sage Space includes the Audio-Technica ATH-M20X; independent bench measurement by Audio Science Review shows substantial low-frequency rolloff on that model. The original OPUS package did not include headphones; the 2026 Superconductor Labs relaunch is advertised to include them.
For practitioners working in shared or noisy spaces, stronger passive isolation can reduce environmental distraction, while a more neutral response can make the audible program easier to reproduce consistently from session to session.
